I too was pleased to see Djokovik so thoroughly beaten (arrogant anti-vax toss pot) and it was also nice to see Carlos Alcaraz win because I read an article about him the other day and he just seems so adorable. He's living at home with his parents, is very respectful of his mum and is shyly looking for a nice girlfriend.
The assassination attempt was depressing, I can see Trump and his crowd capitalising on it to the nth degree.

the only thing i know about djokovic is that he's anti-vax and honestly even if my sister did like him that would do it for me. i think he's doing well at the olympics and i'm annoyed about it. alcaraz does indeed sound ADORABLE.
fortunately biden dropping out of the race and people lining up behind kamala harris and jd vance being a terrible person (but not actually having sex with a couch) have all totally knocked trump out of the news cycle and i love that for him.
