I didn't really think this one through, but.... I'm going to SPAIN for a month!!!

Not for vacation though.  I'm going to take a CELTA course in Barcelona!  I did want to go to Thailand, but with the problems Nova has been facing, they won't allow me to take Sept or Oct off... which is when the program I wanted to attend would take place.

I am on a boycott of all fast-food burger restaurants in Japan.  Not only do they not allow you to use bbq or hot mustard sauce on your fries, but they only give you one packet of ketchup, even though you asked for lots when you ordered.

I wonder what it would be like if I asked for mayo.... blech.

So, I guess Bic Camera was unable to salvage my external harddrive.  They were going to wipe it, but I said DO NOT WIPE THE DOCUMENTS in a really loud and scary voice... so hopefully they didn't.  They are supposed to get it back to me this week or next.

That is two years of my life in photos and other data down the drain unless I can find someone ( Read more... )

My external hard drive just crashed and burned.  Since I have all of my photos from the last year on there, I took it back to Bic Camera to get it fixed, and they said it could take up to 2-3 weeks to fix.

Its not faiiiiiiiiiiir.... why won't something good happen for once???

Much has happened since I last wrote on LJ.  My one year old laptop crashed and burned, rose from the dead, then crashed again.  I took it up with Dell and went through 2 technicians before I found one who was actually patient enough to help me.  I knew it was a driver error, but the other techs didn't give me any advice on running diagnostics or ( Read more... )

I guess my week off after the Hakodate work trip was fairly eventful.  A couple of lazy days and a few busy days... all I could ask for, except that I didn't leave the city itself.  Made a couple of new friends and kept in touch with some old ones.  The weather has been really lovely in the mornings here... very bright with a slight wind chill, but ( Read more... )

Well, I've kinda broken free.  But my habit of waking up at 5 or 6am in the morning hasn't gone away yet.

Anyways, I'm back in Sapporo for Golden Week, and missing out on all the aweome cherry blossoms down in Hakodate.  I'm also in for a giant rain storm for the next couple of days, so that ruins any outdoor plans I might have had.

I'll be working in Hakodate for almost two weeks.  This is cool.  A change of pace, new students... but!  I have to teach hella kids classes, special kids events and worst of all... there's no friggin internet at my temporary apartment!!!
