There have been rumors about one of our members, Tenten, attacking Uchiha Izuna and Madara. She states that she did not do this, and I believe her. From what I'm told, Snape has confirmed Tenten's innocence to the satisfaction of the Uchiha. If anyone has questions about Konoha's stance on this matter or information about the situation, please come

I've spoken to Maes, yes. He mentions of course that ninja can henge and cause genjutsu, and a man known as Aizen from the shinigami's world can also cause illusions. Aizen may have motives, if the Shinigami are right about him. I don't know.

I've spoken to Sasuke, and I doubt he'll attack. He's not so much in alliance with Madara as he is just pissed off that Izuna was injured. Knowing this, if we don't provoke him, we won't have a problem.

I remember Unohana mentioning Aizen recently. It's also possible that the Uchiha staged it in an attempt to garner support for a move against Konoha. Envy would honestly be the best option, from what I've gathered. Capricious is better than deliberately trying to start a war.

I'll keep that in mind. I have no desire to directly provoke Sasuke, but if we have a viable opening against Madara, we will take it. He's too dangerous to allow to run around unchecked if we have another option. I can only go by Sasuke's actions. His willingness to attack a villager over a supposed attack on a known enemy has convinced me that he is not an ally of Konoha.

Anything is possible, and yeah, I agree. Envy seems like the least of the evils.

Death isn't permanent and not all of the losses we take in dying are substantial. I understand you want to keep Madara in check, but what will we gain from striking out against him, even if there's an opening? Other than an angered enemy and his allies? Unless you have means to restrain and keep him alive, I don't see it ending well.

At least the Uchiha apparently aren't planning to attack in retaliation.

I don't intend to move against him unless it's clearly in our favor. [She sighs.] I have no intention of moving hastily. We have no guarantee that he'll remain inactive, though. It's better to be prepared.

Why would someone do that, and disguise themselves as...?

Put simply, we don't know. I'm assuming that someone is trying to stir up trouble, but I'm not certain who or why.

My name is Alphonse, Ms. Tsunade.
The Konoha-nin have been good to me in my time here. I'll help you however I can. I'm no friend of Madara's, but if Tenten is being framed, it's worrisome. There's never "just one" attack like this.
... do you have a witness' account of the attack? Any style of fighting that would point us in the right direction? Any behavioral clues would be welcome.

I'm glad to hear it. The more help we have in getting to the bottom of this situation, the better.
A gun was used for the attack, and the person took Tenten's appearance. That's the majority of what I know as far as details go.

I would appreciate it if you could privately inform me if you obtain any leads as to who the impostor was.
[Tsunade may not recognize it yet, but sending his patronus was a tiny sign of trust from Snape. Then again, it also served as a precaution for himself, just in case he ever needed help, someone would know who it was from.]

I don't have a problem with that, though I don't promise full disclosure.

Understandable. I may be able to transfigure something into a replica of the gun that was used, though it seems to just be a standard issue handgun.

Anything would be of help. The more information we have, the better.

Ah, so that's what it was about...

Yes. I figured it best to address the rumors directly, considering.

I see that there was a mention of Aizen earlier...

There was. From what I can gather, it's more likely to be the shapeshifter Envy, but I'm not discounting anything right now.

[It hurts her greatly to hear that Sasuke is not considered a loyal shinobi of Konoha.]
Sasuke is not our enemy here. This situation may not put him in the best light, but he never attacked Tenten, even when the Uchiha thought she was the one who attacked them. They haven't made a move against her and, while staying on the safe side and lying low for a few days is a good idea, I don't think we should condemn Sasuke for a moving against Konoha. He hasn't done anything against us.
And he hates Madara. I doubt he would ever willingly side with him. He tries to stay away from Madara as much as possible.
I can talk to him about this, if you'd like.

There are no circumstances under which being willing to attack a villagemate is acceptable. As I said, I am not declaring him an enemy. His actions have shown, however, that he is not a member of Konoha, nor can be be considered an ally.

I know that you want to believe that things can go differently here, Sakura. I think that all of us do. But when Sasuke is part of the reason a safehouse could be necessary, I cannot in good conscious have him know the location of it.
