I can't believe I actually got credit for this...

This semester I have had the pleasure of writing, for a class, fanfiction (of a sort)-also known as my theatre class paper. For the assignment, I took two play characters Peter Stockman from An Enemy of the People and Leonid Gayev from The Cherry Orchard...and slashed them. XD
"An Epilogue in Paris"

fanfiction: misc., fic/drabble requests, original story: masters of their field, historical fiction: french & indian war

Sounds like you've been very busy lately. :D The play is very lovely. It provides some direction, but still gives the actors some space to develop the characters (I don't know them at all, but they seem very sweet and lovely). Yay on the Germany stuffs. I'm still jealous that you get to spend more time there than I did. *pout* Good luck with the end of the semester!

Request: Masters of their Field: Nathan and Julien. *smirk*

Indeed! But only two more weeks and classes will all be over. Then I'll have several days to rest before Berlin. Do you have much left of your classes?

The play is very lovely.
Thank you! They were certainly fun characters to toy with, haha.

Oooh, I've already got a few ideas for these two! *grin*

About three weeks left.

It certainly seems like it!

YAY! *looks forward to it* Oh, and art would not be amiss, either. ;)

Ha! I saw How to Train Your Dragon in Portuguese (3D) and then in English. Interesting experience.

Oh, and can I say the picture of you explaining the hell out of the sex toys is way... hot-larious?

The play is way clever, my love, though I have to be honest and say I don't know the original plays the characters are from. :-) But this little bit of inspired fan-fiction rather makes me curious.

Freaky. Which version did you like better? XD

Well, if the idea of me waving around vibrators and cockrings, then yeah, it was probably fairly hot. *rofl* But yeah, it was a good Sex Fair on the whole; we'll be doing it next year. I may even be one of SAGE's co-presidents then.

Thank you, m'dear! Haha, I actually hated The Cherry Orchard. In fact, I hated it so much that I announced it to my theatre class at one point (and I was not alone). An Enemy of the People is definitely worth reading though; it's by Ibsen, the same guy who wrote A Doll's House.

English, obviously. The Portuguese voice actors who dub stuff are like the English voice actors for anime: they all sound flat and annoying and pretty much the same. That and I missed a lot in translation. I mean I got most of the dialogue, like 50-60%, but when watching it in English I was reminded that one loses expressions and jokes in translation.

Hot and hilarious. It'd be even hotter to me if I HAD a freaking cock. Oh! That'd be fantastic if you get to be the co-president! Go you! I sometimes wish I had that kind of team-spirit and club drive when I was in school. I know my resume lacks for it. *sigh*

Ah, and if I recall, you told me Ibsen is Norway's Shakespeare. :-) All the more reason to read his work.

I am genuinely curious about these things. I have this really bizarre weakness for listening to Disney songs in foreign languages. "Be Prepared" (Lion King) and "Court of Miracles" (Hunchback of Notre Dame) in German are big favs right now, lol. That's so true about the jokes/nuances/etc. I'd have the same problem if I tried to watch something in French or German.

If it's any consolation, I do totally think of you as a man in my head. *pets* I did mention you though as "my California gentleman". Brittany, me, and another lesbian were talking after the fair about polyamory and the concepts of sexuality and gender as spectrums. Brittany thought you sounded cool. *grin* She's a fun powerhouse of energy. If I'm one of SAGE's presidents, Brittany will hands down be the other. ^^

I sometimes wish I had that kind of team-spirit and club drive when I was in school.
It can be a real chore unless it's what one wants. Up to about a year ago, I shunned such things like the plague. So I do hear ya. But at least now all this museum volunteer ( ... )
