Science KICKS has been going OK. I've met some interesting people and might possibly present at the science conference in September. Finishing up my Primarily Math work has been hard, though, and I'm relatively exhausted. These last 2 weeks have been very very busy. I finished up my Primarily Math courses. They were very long days again. Now, just end of course work, and I'll be finished! I looked up what the little critter is supposed to be this week. About the size of a grape with teeth! Crazy talk. It also said I should start bonding with little critter and may be an emotional pinball. Definitely the emotional pinball. I did feel pretty great going shopping for shorts yesterday and everything fit :) :)

I had my first ultrasound on Monday, May 11th. Josh took off work to go with me because he's awesome. We saw the little critter, but it is still too little to hear the heartbeat. We got Dad's apartment cleaned out. The police came 3 times to pick up meth. CeCe continues to struggle with her addiction to the crap. She's been in the hospital for overdosing, and then again for kidney problems. I have a feeling she may not make it as long as my dad did. It's been almost a month since Dad's passing. I have to say I have a stellar group of friends and family. Jessi and Colleen took me out to Ohana's and Creme for delicious food. Found out my dad died today. He sent me two messages last week asking me to call or come over. I was waiting until this weekend, and it was too late. It makes me very sad. I hope he knew I loved him anyway

Thanksgiving was nice. We went out to Josh's Mom's house. Jennifer and I did some Black Friday shopping. When we came home, Mom and Ben were already here to celebrate Pam's 60th birthday. We closed on the house July 2 after some rather dumb dealings with the lending company. Now, the kitchen is painted a delightful mint green and yellow. It's very comfy feeling and retro! The end of school was incredibly bittersweet. It was fun to meet my new 2nd graders for next year. One of my students asked if she could make a card during reading stations and have everyone sign it.
