So, I had a ten hour car ride (each way) this weekend. And the song 'New Divide' by Linkin Park popped up on my playlist and I had great visions of a sci-fi, space-odyssey Merlin AU. Mmkay--one thing I cannot figure out: where are the breaks in the paragraphs supposed to be? I've caught on that there's a break between lines if the dialogue goes back and forth... but... what if one of the characters says something, then does something... and then the second character says something? Is that two paragraphs or three or... what ( Read more... ) -

So, against all knowledge that I cannot write [well], I've started. It'll at least be different. From most. But I have yet to figure out the light, meringue-like tone that some authors have down.
