Wow, that really sucks for all the majors/sports teams that they cut. I've been going to SMU this semester and they are hosting Tulane's golf team as well. SMU's paper interviewed them awhile back and they seemed so excited to get to go back to Tulane...

yeah they cut women's soccer too. I wanted to try out next year =\

It's pretty sad. Hurricane Katrina might have scattered people all over, but it's Tulane itself that, in my opinion, that has caused the most damage. I'm a computer engineering major, but now I found out that at the end of next year my major won't even exist at Tulane, so I've got no idea what to do now.

Yeah, that does suck but they couldn't help it. They needed to cut out some majors and they probably chose the ones that weren't as popular as everything else.

as i first looked, i was admitedly selfish, and thought it didnt affect me. but as i looked closer, it really does... i knew they'd have to cut something, but i thought they'd do it differently.

on nightline tonight, they showed an (ex) professor, who found out he was fired through thwebsite.... he was saing he knew it would happen to some people, but he thought they'd at least get calls about it...
