One of the kids I went to school with died this weekend.

We called him Boots. I liked him a lot. He was such an honest guy. He hunted, trapped, fished, loved beer, and was always willing to help. I remember dancing with him at winter carnival, and he always sat behind me in Hydrology.

Holy fuck. Man, I was lucky to have known him.

I've been coming to terms with some things in my life. It feels pretty good too, because it's giving me confidence. My dad hasn't called in a while.
