And this rotation, high risk ob, sucks. The chief wants me to stay until about 4pm every day "incase" something happens or someone comes in. There is absolutely. Nothing. To. Do. So I've been thinking about doing the whole pregnancy thing again. If I did it now then I could be done with some of it before starting residency and not have to do the whole thing during residency, which would be the advantage. It's my damn baby and I will take her home when I want to take her home and if Dr. Anderson is the one covering for Thanksgiving I will be happy to take her home AMA because we'll have the monitor training and everything and I can do it and she is a bitch and it is my baby.

On September 3rd I woke up at 5am to go to the plastic surgery office I was doing my rotation at; the first surgery started at 6am. I looked in the mirror and my eyes were all puffy, like an allergic bee sting patient. So when I got to work, I asked one of the nurses to take my blood pressure. It was 190/120. Today I did my first delivery! It was awesome. Well, kind of gross at first, goo and whatnot coming out, but then this little baby came out and was in my hands and that was really neat. Screw you, HIPAA, they named her Jada Elizabeth.
