Hey there little warrior librarian. I glad to hear that everything has been, and is, going well and that your new training schedule is agreeing with you. I can't wait to come down to visit.
Our little girl is growing up *wipes ersatz tear from eye*
I'm glad they know how to train newbies! mmmh chocolate. I'm very easily distracted at the moment.
Must be a relief for you that Jay has a good home for the next year ... so that you're not having to stress over finding one while starting your new job & living in a new city. Sounds like your scenic drive to Melbourne was a much better way to travel ... compared to white-knuckling it on the highway.
Hehe. I had to send an email to the lady who is leasing Jay, telling her the right way to discipline him when he ignores the cue to canter, and warning her of the way he will most likely react to that before doing what he's told.
She wrote back asking if I was hiding in the bushes watching her try to get him to canter. He was doing exactly what I warned her he would. I hope my advice to correct the problem works for her. You have to be very forceful once. Then after that he knows you mean business because you've proved it.
At the moment, he's just walking all over her because she hasn't told him not to. He knows she wants him to canter, but he won't do it until he's told to DO IT OR ELSE!
