Back again! Got harrassed at Pennsic into opening a Facebook account but soundbyte commentary bores me so i came back to pontificate!

OK. Survived it, after a two year hiatus. Had a lot of fun, visited a lot of friends, saw a lot of sights, did some serious purchasing, but ready to come back to the hoary groove and suburban zombiehood towards the end.  Yeah, by day I'm a whitecollar lemming. Apparently my brother's mother in law and her generation are just waking up to what those of us 20 years behind them have known for decades, social security and medicare are empty promises, just vehicles to loot that generation's pockets to pay for pork barrel projects in Congress's home districts, or pay for bloated military spending. I just started my 7th & 8th furlined garments, both for my Lady, A Particular Redhead! My first was for an 18" nutcracker dressed as a Russian Boiar from the 16th-17th century for a friend's wife's Xmas gift. But I've worked in rabbit, beaver, muskrat, fox, raccoon, fur seal, mink. I've been cynical about economic and political matters for so long that even with the impending challenges ahead of us as Americans and as a country, I'm optimistic....and thats a refreshing feeling I had almost forgotten!
