We were very lucky that Philip has such excellent health insurance. My hospital/rehab stay ended up costing almost $100K. Add another $24K + for the hcv treatment.

I actually know anumber of people who have bankrupte in just such a way too! And, thanks to D.C. lobbyists for the healthnetworks, medical bills are NOT discharged in a bankruptcy. I predict that a lot of Boomers will retire to Mexico where everything is cheaper instead f living in abject poverty here!
