It was just after the match and he was still recovering from the win in the locker room, practically staring at the snitch in his hand even though everyone else had long gone to have a celebration (albeit a mild one) in the common room.
An owl suddenly swooped in, a large and powerful-looking one that made Alfred nervous just by the way it's amber eyes locked on to him as it offered a large talon, letter attached.
Reaching out, he carefully untied it, careful that his fingers didn't get bitten off but the bird remained still until the letter was free before taking off. He read through it twice before swallowing and lowering his head.
This was not going to be fun.]
