I don't know if there are people from your world, Maes, but this is one case when sharing your information with your comrades may not be a wise choice.
I suppose they don't have memories for a reason. Regardless, it's a condition of this event. If you value the person, don't expose them to too much information, and as soon as they show signs of being sick, stop talking.
