i was at the book markets today in the place st. anne, looking at a book of short stories by flaubert, when i noticed at the end of the book a letter. and it's absolutely fantastic. it's so sweet.. it's full of errors, but it's written by an adult, so it must have been some rural or uneducated grandparent sending their grandson a letter. it's so ( Read more... )

this morning i went on a bike ride with a friend into the french countryside. we rode along rennes' canal and visited the château d'apigné. after that, we decided to have a picnic on the side of a small lake. we had sandwiches, bread + cheese, and a bottle of red wine between the two of us. methinks i have a new passion.
