An important difference between Catholics and Protestants:

According to the former, if you don't believe in God you are destined to an eternity in Hell after you die. According to the latter, if you believe in God, fine, if not, it is your call, have fun alone.

I don't know, but I assume that false belief is as bad as not believing. I mean, if God is anything like what they describe Her, she should be able to figure out when you mean it and when you fake it.
