The gas contractor finally showed up yesterday evening, so I have hpt water again! I don't think I'd ever been so excited to load the dishwasher.

The co-op had fresh lychees. Real ones, in the shell. OMG, so delicious. Like eating the best apricot ever with an undertaste of incense.

Looks like most of my yellow melons have been killed off by either a disease, pest, or just dried up. Oh well. The standard mini watermelons are doing ok, though. So far.

I forgot I have a laser armpit appointment tomorrow, and I won't be riding Sunday either, so I either break my ride into two parts Saturday or I get set back another week in my training. Gah.

N is attending a plant pathology/mycology conference downtown this week (he's presenting about the genome browser most of his recent work has been done on). Did a 30-miler with the bike ladies this morning, then N and I had Japanese for lunch and went to the mall. Yay. Last night we went to the new cafe and gelato shop down the street, which is quite nice.
