Things seem back to normal.

Well, I dropped Mikomi off at school today, for her first day. Yes, she got to wear pants this morning, so she was pretty happy. I guess it softened the blow a bit. But I think there was part of her that was eager to get started. I still have high hopes that this school is going to work out for her.

Just to be sure, I gave them Mother and Grandfather's cell phone numbers for emergency... and skipped Father's. It's not that I don't love Father, it's just that I think Mother and Grandfather will do a better job of dealing with situations like we had the last time.

Fine, if that's how you feel. I still say I handled the situation the way it should be handled. You have no clue how idiotic those folks at her old school were being.

I'm sorry, Father, I mean it as no insult, I swear. But I know that confrontations are not your thing. And, schools seem to have an attitude that they are always right. You need a lot of diplomacy to handle an upset principal, and diplomacy isn't your strong suit.

But you have a lot of other good qualites that more than make up for that.

Thanx for joining Miko and I in our after training lesson on hot chocoalte and I'm glad you stayed for dinner and like Thai food. I seem to order it too often.
