It's time for a new amendment: if your doctor moves/retires/has a baby/whatever, you should be notified. I don't expect a detailed explanation of why exactly they no longer work there, but I can't understand how anyone could manage to have a childhood doctor! Kaiser does this for me, and it always seems pointless. I get a letter that Doctor X has left, and Doctor Y will be taking over. I don't go to the doctor very often, and I end up with another letter telling me that Y has been replaced by Z, without ever having gone to see Y.
