I don’t even know where to start.

Under my skin is broken glass and exposed wire.

My home has never felt so empty. I go to sleep expecting her to jump up on me at any moment, and I wake up thinking I’ll see her in the kitchen when I go upstairs.

I have lost my beloved little Mothra and there isn’t anything to be done about it.

You're grieving. You're allowed to hurt even though amazing things are happening. Society subtly makes us feel like the loss of a pet is somehow "lesser" than the loss of another human being, but those of us who actually have lost a pet know that no, it's not. (Zach died four years ago and I still have a framed photo of him up on the wall near what was his favorite corner of the house - right in the middle of the hallway, where he could be most in the way - and sometimes I still get misty-eyed thinking about the little putz.)

I'm ok, I'm not ok.
I wish I had advice or encouragement or wise words for you. Sadly, I can only offer empathy. :(
On a side note, You really made the most of your epic transformer car weekend and I really appreciated seeing the effort you put in to being the most awesome. Keep on killing it.

I hope you are being patient with yourself while you mourn for Mothra, and remember to take really good care of yourself. I suggest lots of vegetables on those pizzas, good sleep and sunshine. I look forward to seeing the photos you share and blog posts you write in the coming weeks.
