So, let's just get this out in the open. I'm not a Lord of the Rings Fan. Gasp, shock. Etc. I don't want to go into it. I have nothing against LOTR. It's just not something I'm into. Like Star Wars. What can I say? I'm just not an all-inclusive geek ( Read more... )

:( I played WoW for a long time. I solo'd a resto druid on a pvp server back when it was harder to level/solo! But then at high levels I realized that I was paying them more than I pay for Netflix per month to grind really repetitive dailies just so that I can have the same equipment as the other resto druids my level and do the same thing over and over.

When I tallied how much I'd spent on that game, I was really irritated with myself. I'll never do monthlies again, if I can help it. I got on the WoW wagon and went to GuildWars because it has more customizable character options, less grindy, and doesn't charge me per month to play. And I like Lotro so far even more than GW, which says a lot for it, because I liked GW a lot. Getting to design how my characters look without sacrifice stats and stuff is a big draw for me. Not feeling like I have to play the game just because I'm shelling out 15 bucks a month for it is priceless, though.

My friend paid for 3 months so i feel obligated to play so its not a waste of his money. I'm waiting on Guild Wars 2 though haha

Lol, oh, man. I'm hoping to rope people into GW2 by purchasing it for them so they'll feel obligated to at least try it. My brother is a FF fan, and I feel duty-bound to do every thing I can to show him there are other things out there.
