We just got done with our wedding invitations. Craig was great and addressed them all. I helped assemble them with the tissue paper and stuff. Ugh. They will go in the mail this weekend. I am having a very nice relaxing weekend. First week on the new job was intense and enjoyable. I was glad to sleep in my bed last night!

Craig and I went to see Hotel Rwanda last night. If you haven't seen it, it portrays the genocide that happened in Rwanda surrounding the Tutsis and the Hutus. Yesterday was my last day in my store. My staff were really great to me as I left. They planned a potluck party on Tuesday and they all showed up to wish me well. They also gave me a gift card to Red Lobster. I had inventory yesterday as my last hurrah. It turned out very well. I took Friday off to get some things accomplished. We'll see ( Read more... )

One week until I start my new position. It is finally starting to sink in that things are going to change a lot for me on the work front. I turn my store over to the new guy on Tuesday. We got measured for our tuxes last night. I was very proud of the professionalism that the staff of Savvi Formal wear used when we announced that we were both grooms! LOL. Another month has passed like a blur. Where is time going. But, the good news is that I am having a blast as it goes. Craig and I have joined the choir at our church. We started going to Unity Church-Unitarian in St Paul. The Unitarian church is so welcomig to gays and lesbians. The best part about it is that it is not a church where you have to believe in God or Jesus Christ. Your higher power can be that, or whatever you chose. I find it very freeing, ( Read more... )
