I officially got the job. And a 10K raise. The school board will approve my hiring on April 28th. My supervisors and principals are all about art and the curriculum they are designing is fucking awesome. To quote my supervisor "I think you are going to be very happy here". Yes. Yes I fucking am.

I have two weeks to the faculty art show. I have three solid paintings from my painting class completed and ready to go - I went to class last night and fought the good fight with a painting - learning a lot - but losing. I really can't complain, because last week I knocked out a good one that I am still very proud of.

Got a phone call today from the school I interviewed at last week. The supervisor said that he wanted to offer me the job, contingent that he gets final approval from the school board - which he thinks is going to be no problem - to finalize class schedules and have me on a tenure track.  Saturday I had perhaps the weirdest interview of my life. It was in Edison, at 10:30 in the morning. The Board of Education in it's great wisdom stated that they had over 700 resumes for 12 positions throughout the Edison school district.
