Ya, it has nothing to do with the fact that NO had at most, 2 days warning, whereas Texas has at least 4 days of warning, and up to 7 days warning. It has nothing to do with the fact that our nation is now hyper-sensitive to all hurricanes in the Gulf, and will do everything and everything times 10 to avert another disaster like that which happened in NO. Nothing at all.

your right steven my friend. funny the little things you find out about when you get his my a hurricane, like the fact that when you live 30 feet bellow sea level your city floods. mayor nagin also declined amtrak's offer to ship out people 2 days before and had 500 seats empty when it left with no passengers. and he had time. hurricanes dont just jump out of no where and hit you like an earthquake.

later man.

Airport security in Galveston was able to leave the city as soon as possible. However, this means that all people trying to get out by airplane aren't able to since they can't get through FAA sanctioned security checkpoints. Should the mayor of Galveston order those security personnel back to their jobs so a greater number of people can board planes to get out of town? That seems like a logical conclusion, considering you could evacuate 1000's more people quickly in a plane/helicopter/medivac/hovercraft than on a stalled bus. And please, it's not the NO mayor's fault that the city is 30 feet below sea level, and they didn't have AS MUCH warning as Texas. Even a few days, which is what it is, makes a huge difference.

not saying the flooding was his fault. im saying the evacuation was conducted poorly. local govt is just as responsible as the federal.

the NO mayor did cause the flooding????? jk. everyone in that town is dumb in the first place for thinking they could live 30 feet bellow sea level and never have this happen.

out of all the people i thought would respond to this journal, i never ever thought it would be you. lol

how ya doing steve?
