I'm sorry that I can't be there... I'll be in Allentown with Karla for New Year's! Otherwise a streetcar party would be right up my alley, TTC geek that I am... *giggles*

Anyway, do you know what car you're getting yet? Are you getting one of the old PCCs, or is it going to be a CLRV/ALRV? Where all are you planning on going?

I'll be sure to think about that.

The way I see it, there's three considerations:

1. We definitely want to hit some of the more visually interesting or obscure parts of the streetcar network, especially stuff that doesn't normally see streetcar service. I mean, it's a streetcar charter, so let's take advantage!
2. On the other hand, we don't want to go into the middle of nowhere. We want to be in places where people will be able to get on and off.
3. Finally, since we have an ALRV, we need to take into account that there are certain places where ALRVs aren't allowed to go (e.g.: Spadina and Union station loops) and others where ALRVs have a hard time getting through without dewiring. It would be best to avoid such places.

I must say, though, that it's a shame we couldn't have chartered the two PCCs for something like this... *giggles* But I guess that for a streetcar party, having a single ALRV makes more sense.
