We are in JFK right now waiting for our flight to Rochester.
Two things happened this morning.
1. We discovered I had accidently booked us on a flight tomorrow instead of today. The FABULOUS lady at Jet Blue fixed it and didn't charge us anything extra and said she wasn't sure but I might have a credit on my account.

2 rants in 1 day
Finally got discharged at 2pm. Then waited 1 1/2 hours for the hotel shuttle to pick us up and then went to Target to get precriptions filled.
I just emailed this to Target.com

Warning: Rant
So I'm fine.. just a little surgical site pain but otherwise good. I'm waiting for someone to come and discharge me. Apparently they don't do that in a timely manner here ( Read more... ) -
This room
is nicer than our hotel room. It's all done in hardwood floors and wall tile, has all sorts of cool gadgets for the nurses to use, has 2 TVs (one for the patient and one for the family), a pullout bed for family, the TV has games and movies on demand, room service and wifi of course.
How cool is that..
Feeling fine. Going home tomorrow. -
It's out
So right up until the last minute Dr. Epstein said I could change my mind and was I really sure.. he also wrote a 2 page note and made a special point of making sure it got into my chart.
Surgery went fine. They had to use the laser to get the ventricular lead out but the atrial lead came right out and I didn't even go into afib. When I woke up I ( Read more... ) -
