Room 327, Friday Morning

In Juliet's word, Friday morning meant time to start getting ready for the weekend.

Today, though, Friday seemed to mean ... not much in particular. She texted back and forth with a few people from New York, but it just got depressing hearing about the fun she wasn't having. So she called Jeremy out of boredom, but even he didn't pick up ( Read more... )

Jeremy didn't show up before his class because he'd gotten her messages, because he hadn't. He had, however, come across a cream angora sweater that clearly wasn't his while rummaging through his stuff for a belt he seemed to have misplaced.

He stopped in the doorway, sweater in hand, and frowned at her.

"You're up? Why aren't you picking up your calls? I left like three messages."

"I don't know, because you didn't call?" Juliet said grumpily. "Why didn't you pick up? Unless you really were out doing something awesome."

She glanced to what was in his hand, smiling a bit. "Oh, hey, you found my sweater."

"It was in my stuff," he replied, about as grumpily, as he walked over to shove said clothing item at her. But gently. "Like I said in the messages I left you."

"You didn't leave me any messages," Juliet insisted, shoving her phone back at him. (Of course he knew her password -- she had another phone for anything not brother-safe.) "Look, you can check."

He might find one new message.

"Didn't you get my messages?"
