Haha!

Wow, I can't even believe how much I completely disagree with you about this ep, but hey. Different strokes, ya know?

Director: Uh, okay, guys, it's KILLER LIFESIZE BARBIE WEEK. You know what that means ( ... )

Arrrrgh, this season.

Scene 2: DEAN IS A DRUG DEALER. (And, I'm not saying I totally wouldn't, uh, take some of that, but still. Rattly unmarked pill bottles. Hello, Dean, unless you want a cane, just don't.)
That was a REALLY WEIRD SCENE. The unmarked bottle? And Sam being all suspicious? It felt like it was cut in from a different show. You know, much like the MONTAGE OF HURL.

HELLO THIS IS LIKE THE SECOND CASE THEY HAVE DONE WITH A SOUL TOTAL AT TWO AND NOW WE ARE SPLITTING UP.
*sobs* Why? Are J and J unable to line up their schedules for scenes together? Two weeks in a row? WHY.

But even that is overshadowed by LISA. AND BEN. Just, I don't even know what to say here. Just no. NO MORE.
But on the bright side, life lessons for you! If you ever date someone for a year, they become FAMILY and, if the person you were involved with had kids, you are then obligated to them for the rest of your life. FAMILY, got that?
(I am suddenly so glad I'm no longer dating. So so glad.)

This is why I am never dating again. I am going to buy one of those little like grow-a-pony things you put in a glass of water except it will be a GROW A PERFECT MAN. I will put it in the bathtub for a week or a year or whenever I get around to it and then Jensen Ackles will hop out and ask me to marry him and I'll tell him that I already got a civil license made up and I've been wearing the ring around except when I swim and we will live in happily wedded bliss FOREVER AND EVER at least until the Archangels (huh. I guess there aren't any of them left anymore. Oh well. Ark Angels or something. Indiana Jones is one of them.) find us and then we will stand back to back (I will stand on a box. Or wear Louboutins) with our 9mm Glocks raised and go out in blazing glory together. The end.

-Dean bringing Sam out of a death-like state reminded me of [info]sonofabiscuit77's story Crush. Except without the gay incest and all the awesome. I think I need to go re-read that.

LOL!

-I liked Sam calling Dean with updates, but would rather have had them working the case together. Why does Sam get to be awesome action Sammy while Dean is stuck being dull domestic Dean again? Bleh.

Just another reason I NOT fond of this season at all. This is what happens when you let your love of one character take over the writing.

Ugh! The whole Dean/Lisa thing is just so annoying.

I feel so badly for JA. We know damned well that he doesn't want all this boring domestic crap for Dean either but apparently his wishes are being ignored.

I know!

Of course, I knew things were bad when he said in a interview he didn't like the direction his character was going but I didn't realize how bad it was going to get.

Good grief!

I loved your post -- you are spot-on. I just wish you'd opened it for comments but I understand; I also have zero desire to debate with Lisa's fans.

Thanks, sweetie...I tried to like her - and in a way I did, she was spunky and kind of grew on me.

Then there was that immature temperfit last night from her AND her son, where he basically got called an asshole for rushing to make sure she was okay! Then Ben was all 'I'm not six' and proceeded to behave like a six year old! There were a few fans that were all 'Awwww!' over that scene and it just made me ill and angry! HOW CAN ANYONE FIND THAT CUTE?!

*Is exasperated*

I tried to like her too, but honestly the problem isn't even the character -- it's the whole plot of "Dean goes domestic." It's wrong for Dean, who had NEVER expressed a desire for a boring life in the suburbs. It's painful for the show, which was NEVER about one of the boys settling down and parenting someone's brat. And the entire argument that Ben/Lisa are "actually his family" is deeply offensive to me. My husband and daughter sure will be surprised to hear that the kids of men I dated in the past are "family" and my girl has extra siblings floating around out there! Except -- oh yeah, that's NOT how family works. You aren't suddenly related to someone because a brat declares that you are.

HOW CAN ANYONE FIND THAT CUTE?!NO FREAKING CLUE. I found it horrifying. Kids DO NOT TALK LIKE THAT. They don't give Life Lesson speeches to adults. Have these writers even MET a child? Besides, Ben should be busy with friends and school and girls -- the drunk depressed guy his mother was dating until he shoved him into a wall shouldn't be his ( ... )

I do agree on you with the montage. It was a bit awkward with the music.

And how the sister died? I didn't really get it. Maybe a pices of glass just flew into her stomach and killed her...?

I did really liked the episode though. I think most people agree it was a great opening scene at least? =)

I liked the episode a lot right up until they separated the boys (AGAIN) and dragged us into the dreary Lisa scene. At that point the episode because near unwatchable for me, especially when they had her brat delivering a Life Lesson speech to Dean. No, just no: this is NOT why I'm watching this show.
