There are fireworks festivals all over Japan during summer. Some offer tickets for premium seats, but most have huge open spaces for people to bring leisure mats and picnic blankets and make a whole day of it. For free.

I am continuously baffled by how ordered everything in Japan is. I mean, had I left my mat in a space and gone home for any length of time, the mat would have been tossed aside and the space occupied by other people by the time I got back. Japanese people definitely do it right in the manners department.
The pictures are really cool! Reminds me of the firework event I've been to, beginning of June...

Wow, you were able to leave your mat for like 5 hours?! Here, you would have to sit on it the whole time to call dibs.

Ah, of course it's easier for men to put on their yukata! Everything's easier for them lol but despite the harder work on your part, it looks fantastic!

How popular do you think Pokemon Go is in Japan? I imagine it'd be really popular for obvious reasons!
