While checking my email I came across an article about a lab at the University of Minnesota that has grown an artificial heart. Creepy, I know, and after reading the article all I could think was how Frankenstein it seems. Thanks to PETA the Trappist monks at Mepkin Abbey in Monks Corner, SC, (www.mepkinabbey.org) are phasing out their egg production program. They're monks, for cryin' out loud. Orientation's almost over (whew). My PRO group has been awesome. Lauren and I hosted a movie night tonight and watched "Wedding Crashers" and had a grand time. Quite a few of our PRO kids showed up which made it worth it. Tomorrow's the community service project. Finals are over (!!) and, go figure, I'm sick with a sinus infection. It only took a few hours before I started to feel it--while I was at Concord Mills with Carissa and Chris.
