This is really helpful!
Thanks a lot =D

Although I have PS7 in French and I'm having a hard time guessing what all those layers modes are in French (I pinned some of them down like multiply and solf light, but I have problems with others). Could you possibly give me all of them in order (from top to bottom, top being normal), like when you left click on the layer mode thingy to set it, so I could work out a correlation??

Sure! Here they are:

Normal
Dissolve
-----------
Darken
Multiply
Color Burn
Linear Burn
-----------
Lighten
Screen
Color Dodge
Linear Dodge
------------
Overlay
Soft Light
Hard Light
Vivid Light
Linear Light
Pin Light
Hard Mix
-------------
Difference
Exculsion
-------------
Hue
Saturation
Color
Luminosity

Hope that helps!

Oh that helps a lot, thanks.
Now I can finally stop guessing whne trying to apply a tutorial!!
I seems I had most of them right, but the ones I wasn't sure about, like Screen and Overlay, are the most commonly used...
This is really really great =D
