OXEGEN 08 YO!
I spent this entire weekend camping out at Punchestown racecourse in Co. Kildare with Robin, Aisling and Scott for the Oxegen festival and it was really mad! I've never been to a festival of any kind before, and this one is pretty huge. Here's my observations ( Read more... ) -

After Arleynne and I got back from Belfast I had to work for a couple of days, so she went on the open-top tour in Dublin and did some shopping. When the weekend came around again, we were ready for more! Pictures from Belfast
Continuing my meander through the pictures of my holidays with Arleynne, our next stop is the north of Ireland! We took the bus out of Dublin and from here it's only about two hours to Belfast. We left early and took Chadai with us, and arrived in plenty of time to go on the open-topped bus tour through the city.

Kilmainham Gaol, Stephen's Green and Merrion Square.
The next exciting place we went to in Dublin on Arleynne's visit was Kilmainham Gaol, which for centuries was the holding place of Irish rebels. It's also where the 1916 rebels were executed, a political misstep by Britain which allowed the Irish republican movement to gain popular support. It was built in 1796.
