Glad to see you're back! I was getting worried, but had cleverly misplaced your phone number so couldn't try to track you that way.
I hope things will work out with your friends. From experience I can tell you that there are friends you are incredibly tight with for years who later drift off, others that you bond with quickly (some of which stick long-term, others don't) and some friends that you may not see or talk to for months or even years... yet when you do connect (phone, in person) you slip right into a groove that makes the time between not matter at all.
Don't beat yourself up too much about not keeping up the friendships / relationships ... it does have to be a two-way street, and friends should allow others space to screw up, especially when done without malice.
I wish you good friends, adventure, laughter and growth in the coming year.

I understand what you're feeling, Brenda...I'm going through the same thing right now with Monchel. It just feels so weird from getting to see her almost every day for the last few months of last semester to only seeing her a few times a month. I'm happy to see you back on here again, I missed talking to you on LJ, and you were my first friend on here afterall, so I hope you stick around! I really don't know how it's going to be when I get back to campus, and I do have the feeling it'll be similar to your situation though. I've never really connected with someone that fast and that well as I have with Monchel...which is why I really don't want to let the girl go; also, for the first time in my life, I think I'm truly happy. I'll be around if you need someone to talk to...it's fun talking with you anyways, and I'm going to need it considering who I have to choose from now: Matt Zuhl (oh, what fun...there are interesting stories here), Bear Cave boys (yeah, you know how that is), Ony (I don't mind her, actually, she's most likely the ( ... )

Embrace the Different... atlantiadragon August 25 2006, 21:17:22 UTC
Change is good but no one ever said it was easy. You're growing up and all your other friends have as well. While you are still in contact with those you miss just remember the good times you had when you were together and never forget that they will always be apart of you because of those memories. Getting teary is alright as long as you move on after a while. Change is hard and remember, you do have the strength to move forward and be happy once again to make new memories with new people. You and the whole 'freshman group' taught me that. Blessed Be and I hope your first day goes well.
Lots of Love and HUGS!!!!!

Well, I'm sorry hun. I do care. Sorry for not sending you off. You were gone before I realized. Rick's dad died, and he left for a week. Taking care of the kids, and being slghtly depressed. Then Rick got a new job where he works nights, single parent for me. Then there was getting school stuff is crazy. So...*sighs sadly* I'm not trying to make excuses, but just trying to let you know what heppened. It certainly isn't that I don't care, or hold you in my thoughts, but sometimes life kinda gives you a doozy, and you have to sit back and try and breath. So sorr I gues.

Change is always good. No matter the pain it holds in the process. You'll get through this with your head held high, hon. I know you will. And it's good to hear from you again.
