Tigers
What are we now but voices
who promise each other a life
neither one can deliver
not for lack of wanting
but wanting won’t make it so
We cling to a vine
at the cliff’s edge.
There are tigers above
and below. Let us love
one another and let go.

Ack, I still need to finish 'Exit Through The Gift Shop'. Brainwash gets on my nerves so I've been watching in spurts. I love the whole street/low-brow art stuff, though. Also, outputmessage is amazing, high five.

Exit Through the Gift Shop is so wonderful because there is SO MUCH SECOND-HAND EMBARRASSMENT. I also love the bit where MBW tries to explain his True Love for Banksy and is just like "I really like him. He is good." over and over again.
I am waiting for January just so I can play N.Y.R. on repeat. :D

Colm Toibin is amazing. I have yet to read The Master but as I love Colm Toibin and Henry James, I am basically so excited that I am even considering wandering into my bookshelves and finding my copy of the book (a quest that may take hours, with my woeful lack of organization).

I love love love The Master so much, especially since Henry James as a writer doesn't really move me? But man, the way Colm Toibin just so easily sketches out a hesitant moment, a feeling of restraint, the desire to reach out-- and failing-- it's so tender and delicate and I want to be him when I grow up.
