And now for something different (A post on weight-loss)

I've been meaning to write this post for a while now as it's something I want to share, but I wasn't quite sure how. After all, this is a craft blog - how many of you would even want to read a post on dieting and weightloss?

But I get asked these questions a lot, and I've been wanting to make this blog a little more meaningful and personal so I ( Read more... )

I loved this post! After losing 22kg I was so happy with myself, but also completely miserable that I couldn't get to my initial goal weight of 76kg (my before baby number 2 weight), that last KG just wouldn't shift, I got so disheartened and just went back on all the healthy habits I had developed and have so far put on another 2kg just in the last 3 months.

I'm trying to get pregnant at the moment, so I haven't even been trying to lose weight because I figure that I'll get pregnant and fat again soon, well that still hasn't happened and I've wasted 3 months of weight loss time that could have put me at a much healthier weight at the start of my pregnancy.

You are an inspiration, thanks Holly!

I've reintroduced exercising into my weekly routine and I've noticed so many benefits because of it! I feel great, have more energy, get skinnier, and it helps manage my asthma.

Thanks for making the post, it's inspiration to help keep me going to the gym!

I'm so glad you found a plan that works for you. Keep it up!

Very inspiring!

I weighed myself today and found I've lost 1.5kg in the last three weeks, which is as fast as I'm 'allowed' to lose weight while breastfeeding. So far all I've done is swapped biscuits for rice cakes - thankyou for all your healthy snack suggestions. I'm back under 80kg and am determined never to weigh a number starting with 8 (or 9) again!

Now for the next 9.5kg...

Hi Holly and congrats on your amazing weight loss. I love this post and that you have stepped away from the usual craft to openly share a bit more of your personal life. Brave and inspiring...
It feels good to be in control again... and whilst it isn't JUST about losing the weight, it is a result of getting it all together and feeling confident and good about yourself.
(was it you I saw at NC WW last Tuesday night?) I have just joined there last week with my cousin. I am lifetime, but need to get back on track and she is a newbie and wanted some company. I looked at a girl last week and thought it might be you, but wasn't totally sure, so didn't say hi... I will look out for you this week (if it's you!!)
Talk soon, Jacinta (one little acorn)
