Well, we ended up moving into our new house the day after Christmas (or the 1st day of Kwanzaa). Less than 1 month ago, the 35W Bridge reopened in Minneapolis (after crashing August 1, 2007). For just over a year, we had to be more "creative" in deciding how we wanted to get certain places. We did it! We closed on our house yesterday. Now we are homeowners! It was a process, but we are glad to have it behind us, and now we can focus on getting our house fixed up and more liveable. There is work ahead of us, but it will be good work because we will be turning it into our very own home.

The fall schedule has started...well, last week was the big beginning for that. So the weeks are getting laid out, each day in order. A couple more things start next week, and then I'll be pretty much set with my schedule except for a couple students who start later in the fall ( Read more... )

Yesterday my parents and Nik and I went fishing all afternoon/evening. It was a beautiful day! We went a little over an hour away, bringing a lunch and fishing equipment.
