Every holiday we perform the same routine, year after year. Wake up and idle around the house for a couple of hours and then begin the mad scramble for the shower. I really love reading about people's families for some reason. I think it's the peeping Tom in me that really gets a kick out of finding out how other people live and communicate with one another. Great piece that really shows the dynamics there.

I HAVE AN AUNT LIKE THIS!

My husband recognized her the first Christmas he spent with my family; his family's big enough that he has a couple of these aunts.

oh man, I'm sorry you get to deal with Aunt Jane. I think most of us have a relative or two that can wear us plum out, but she sounds like a doozy. :/
