Why is it
that my bedroom has become The Cool Spot for all the cats to hang out in? Currently, all but Juliet are in there. D'artagnan is lounging on the bed, Kismet is scrabbling about under it, and Sam is draped dejectedly over a pair of Bill's socks beside it. Well, I was wanting a new phone anyway. Just not like this. And yes, I know not to turn it on until it's dried out, to check to see if I've still got insurance on that phone, etc. -
I post
a lot of angst, especially of late. So, thought it was time for a post of a different color. It's been a good day. Weird in a few aspects, including thinking I had lost my keys (again. Still. Bored with my hair
and I can't afford the upkeep on platinum and purple streaks. It's lovely, and I adore it, but the purple washes out too fast, and the platinum just looks silly without some contrast, and I know better than to mess with bleach without the guidance of a well-paid professional. Today is one of the days
I just want to drive to the airport, buy a ticket on the first plane to anywhere, and just go. Without definite plans to return.
Not feeling particularly sad, or angry, or blue, just....restless. Like my skin is 2 sizes too small. -
Travel makes me happy
Even if they're small, short trips. Among my favorite forms of travel is by myself, by car. I love driving. Right now I'm at a rest stop on my way up to WF to check on my parents' place, pick up some worklights, then off to see a friend for a short visit, then on my way back down. Altogether I will only be gone 3 days, but...it's amazing how much ( Read more... ) -
