~ Perfect Strangers (imdb) was a fascinating watch. I cannot recommend it enough. Powerful and nostalgic without being melodramatic, they really found the perfect balance to tell an otherwise simple and very human story. And it has Toby Stephens, Matthew MacFadyen and JJ Feild -  so even if you can't be arsed to tune in for the plot, go at it for ( Read more... )

All right, you get my vote then : The Importance of Being Earnest, coming right away ma'am! I hope it'll be as good as the play I saw with Diefenthal and Deutsch this year.

If I just may, though, Jane Austen isn't meant to be light. Usually she aims more for serious wit than comical effect, contrary to Oscar Wilde, so that's no surprise that the adaptations shall reflect that. But anyway. COLIN FLIRTH \o/

Then indeed I must concur, my dear! Period dramas are always, well, quite dramatic as it is, and Oscar Wilde is an invaluable refreshment, I couldn't agree more with you.

Right, right, leaving the comedy aside (AND OMG HOW BRITISH WAS COLIN IN THAT MOVIE ♥ ♥ ) and going straight at The Ruby In The Smoke now.

Well, the dress isn't exactly of the 40s, because it's not a vintage clothe, but the style is close enough that with the right hairstyle and accessories it'd do a great 40s outfit. I'll take pictures when I'm all dressed up so you can see!

XD
