I swear cameramen from all over the world are EVIL GENIUSES. And I mean that with utter and profound admiration when it comes to Merlin's ones, seriously. They must be filming, like, from inside the opposite walls to get their perfect shoots. I'd kill to be on set one day, just to go and lick their feet all over :D
I'd *love* to visit it again with you, so you can definitely count on me in for a visit in March!
I seem to have spent the whole weekend either talking about Merlin with eviltish and niennah (who was converted from 0-fullonlove in about ten minutes of watching the first ep), the three of us standing in a muddy field very close to Arthur's Pleasance watching the super-shiny annual local fireworks display, set against the achingly tasteful backdrop of a night-lit Castle, and then all piled on my bed watching Bradley, Colin and about two seconds of Angel on various BBC shows over the weekend, both as Merlin characters and as their sweet, dorkish selves. Probably a good thing I'm All About The Characters these days, as Bradley and Colin were tiresomely goofy-cute-quietly-BFFish on this morning's stupid studio show. Awwwwww! You would have fit in very well with us for the whole duration!
Well, C summed it up pretty well by writing on my bedroom's white board "L isn't a nutter anymore... but here comes Merlin (and Bradley!!)", because it is true that my willpower is hard to maintain when I watch the guys being all dorky/manly/cute together on my screen.
And spending Merlin-themed weekends like this one - where we visited Pierrefonds with C and rosengirl, and then got back to watch the last episode with champagne, complete with fic reading and watching bouts of the previous episodes - is NOT HELPING. It tends to be highly addictive, all of it, yo.
We should start planning your journey ahead, BTW! You must see the castle, it's a beauty.
