Whatever the ... thing was that Tony had been hiding in his lab to work on, it was finally ready for distance testing, and Tyler volunteered to come and watch and make sure Tony didn't blow anything up that looked important. Tyler fully expected to be back in this office in a couple months, but these were still his last regular office hours for a while. He started his day by methodically stowing his books and the piles of papers that had collected over the last year in a large box.

Tyler was (surprise) awake early the morning after prom, and, when he stepped onto the porch with his coffee, he noticed the back yard was starting to look like a science experiment in how many weeds could be grown in how small a space. Feeling the need to actually do something about it, he yanked on some old clothes and set to work gardening.
