okay honestly, i love how you write them so much. like, so. much. i think they're easily my favorite characters from a fic like e v e r and ahhh. i love how you write them. i'm like really picky about how they're written bc they're my favorites, so i don't like reading just ANYONE's iker/cesc bc i don't like when they're portrayed like...i don't know. but, yours is just so perfect. i want to read it forever. if no other fic was ever updated except this one, i would be happy with life. hahahahahaha.

Sergio replies "good," meaning you fixed it and are partially forgiven and then "okay," meaning I recognize that Cesc would flip if he knew you bought it, so I will play along. This is exactly what I love about the Sergio/Iker relationship. Sergio is so fucking intuitive that it kills me. Because he's got dreads and smokes and just doesn't give a fuck and is impossibly cool but then he's so perceptive and knows Iker better than he knows himself and. Okay hold on.

Yes. Completely. I actually toyed with the idea of them dating/but-mostly-fucking-around when they first started school and then mutually realizing, like, lolll this is not going to work, let's just be bros. I'm glad I didn't do that, but yeah, it ties into this idea--they're an old married couple, in a lot of ways. Iker gets grouchy and Sergio won't put up with his shit, but he's always there for him. He understands Iker in a way other people don't.

And it has Iker being patient.I don't even know what to respond to this whole paragraph. It's just--completely and totally how I want Iker to read, at this point. His characterization's cliche in a lot of ways: but he's a bristly person who gets annoyed with things very easily, and you get the sense that he has the potential to be very cruel when he wants to be. But with Cesc, he's very careful. And yeah, patient is the key word. That’s like, is his epithet in this fic. It ties in with the breakability and the power and the control and age dynamic and all that, but it's more. He likes what Cesc is. He doesn't want him to change. I wanted the way he treats Cesc to be very, uh (god am I going to use this word), tender? Obviously he still gets annoyed, he's still is Iker, but the way he reacts to Cesc is completely different than anyone else. He puts up with shit from him he wouldn’t take from anyone else. You get the sense that he’d let Cesc hurt him really bad and never say a word. He isn’t whipped, per se, but he’s protective of him.
