OK so I have not posted in awhile and this wont be to interesting but I am doing it for myself. (You have been warned) I started the first day of my workout schedule I did not make my goal but that is ok
( Read more... )
What's your goal? What kind of workout routine are you on? Are you eating enough and drinking enough water ("enough" is a fucking LOT! a gallon a day for someone my size, probably at least 90 oz. for you)?
I've just recently started weight training and doing cardio fairly hardcore, and I've almost completely changed my diet, so I might be able to help you with your plan. I'm feeling a million times better in almost every regard.
You will definitely lose any fat that you have on that kind of routine. It's really all cardio - push-ups will build a small amount of muscle, but they're not like weights or anything. Doing a little weight training can get you farther than just cardio alone will, but you totally don't have to do it if you just want to shed fat.
The next, very critical, thing I'd pay attention to is nutrition. Drink a lot of water (soda doesn't count, as it's a diuretic and causes you to lose water, not to mention its sugars become fat VERY quickly) and make sure you're getting enough protein. Get at least eight hours of sleep every night. Limit the amount of junk food you eat. Eat throughout the day, don't confine it to just a couple of meals This stuff is all pretty obvious, but it bears repeating because forgetting it basically dooms any attempt to reform one's health.
Here's a beginner's guide to running. In addition to this, the site is a horde of information about the sport, and how to not make it crappy or damaging.
