I looked for an internship for this summer, but that fell through. I got a few responses back saying, "You look like a great candidate, but there is no funding this year." Many of my classmates had similar experiences. I even had my Uncle email all of his contacts in the petroleum industry, and it certainly helped. It got me those few responses

I need to remember that Orson Welles was a master of theatre as well as film. That said, I wonder if he really was the first to use black stage actors. I feel like it would have always been done at some level. Perhaps he was the first to make it mainstream.
