Wow I don't update anything
So I decided earlier this summer to bail out on the DNP program. 4 years to get a substandard degree (with respect that I would never get an interesting patient... I'd always have to refer them out) that is effectively non-academic made me reconsider. So I took the MCAT and got a 28. It's hot in Phoenix today
And I know this because it's hot enough to fry a cat on the sidewalk.
The cat dove in and collapsed on the floor panting furiously unwilling to move except at the biggest threats of Kid Sparky stomping on it.
I hate summer in Phoenix. -
Update, just in case you're wondering what has been going on for the last 6 months
I went from loving my job to hating it over six months. I think I'd like my job better at a different hospital but with the world freaking out over nothing I'm stuck for the time being. Long story short, the facility I work at seems the to think all ills in the hospital are the fault of the RN. I like the work I do, I like the MD's I work with, I ( Read more... ) -
It's quasi offical... but the details are still sketchy
I plan on getting to NM on Sept. 10th late or the 11th early pending how I feel, and what all has to get done. I can be there until the 17th if I so chose, but it's more likely I will head home on the 15th when people go back to work ( Read more... ) -
Insurance, or lack thereof
Yay, one more thing to screw you over. Since I got diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy I'm likely too high of a risk to get insurance of any type. The first to reject me is supplemental long term disability. My guess is I'm going to get shot down on life insurance too. The friggin joy. It's official!
I am a RN this morning. Results moved faster today than previously. No more fretting over testing. No more putting off work on my preceptor (read pass meds, fix pump alarms, etc). Friday night I'm going to be very very busy...... -
