Christina spoke with the culinary school admissions rep today and it looks like I'm going to schedule a verbal/ writing exam to verify my elligibility. The next start-up date is September and that gives me enough time to get everything in order and try to get grants for the extra 6k that isn't covered by the GI Bill. This morning we walked down the street to the playground and the kids had a great time climbing, swinging, and sliding. I called the VA today about my GI Bill and found that everything was in order and I can use it towards culinary school...great right? Not really because the night school runs 16.5 hours a week in class time and 18 hours is considered full time...this means that I can only access 3/4 of my monthly allowance of my GI Bill. Yesterday was a nice 12 hour day pulling cable and installing a conduit run. I spent close to an hour, after getting the rug, talking to Gil about Coastie stuff and about their move...Gil's the guy we scored the rugs from.
