I sometimes  constantly contemplate how my life has become what it has, looking into the past for a clue as to what sparked the movement.

Looking back, I was naive. I was young, and I was reckless and hopeful. I wanted fun but didn't recognize that; I was "grown up." Ready for a house, security, and complaining about a sink full of dishes.

It's dark in this house now. I guess literally it is almost 2:00 AM and I'm the only one up, the computer moniter producing the only source of light, lightly reflecting off of a tv and Shelby's big brown eyes. More than that, it feels...empty.

Goodrich isn't my ideal place to live.
No Starbucks. No shopping. A few gas stations.
Thrilling.

Flint doesn't feel the same any more.
Thankfully there's still Shelby.
Like a visitor, displaced.

Kalamazoo doesn't hold the same thrills.
Been there. You know the rest.
Love it, but is it enough?

I can't bring myself to say the word.

I wrote this after a minor breakdown at a coffee shop at like 4:00 in the morning. 
I want some feedback, please. It's very bare-bones and needs lots of work, but I'd eventually like to do something with it.
