I really like this form of homegrown photojournalism, it'll be interesting to see this continue to develop... so to speak.

hehe... Nice pun. Without pictures, my text reads like a system log file. With the pictures, there is depth. It becomes a world instead of a list of activities. Plus, everyone likes to look at pictures, even if they're just pictures of a hum-drum life. I guess it's just the voyeur streak in us all.

yo, where are all the white women at???

supposing that's where you're working.... wow. that place (at the point of the pictures being taken) is DEAD.

all the same, sunlion's right - it's fascinating in a lonesome way.

White women? The store I'm at just moved a couple weeks ago from Huntington to here in Ashland. The owner has been dragging his feet getting this place started, so yes, for the most part, it's a big empty room with a desk.

from an artistic point of view, i super like the absence of people. it's kind of eerie- the places you expect people to be and the fact that you mentioned doing things at these places, interacting with people... but there are none! the last picture is super cool... you caught the light just right.

I wasn't trying for the eerie absence of people, but I see what you mean. hehe Honestly, though, I don't interact with people hardly at all. So, this really does represent what my life feels like, unintentionally. I never realized that aspect myself, so thank you for pointing it out. I originally started this so that people could learn about me, but I guess in return, people are also teaching me about myself.

I need a better digicam. The one I have now runs out of batteries in about 45 minutes of use, requires floppy disks (which are bulky to carry) and is, itself, large and awkward and heavy. What I really need to have, so that this experiment doesn't become a chore, is a camera with good battery life, that takes good pictures in all lighting conditions, and that is small and light enough to fit into my pocket. Maybe if I get some good fortune, I'll look into getting a new one.

man.. do you use those rechargable batteries? they last a whole heck of a lot longer- the cameras suck the lives right out of normal batteries. i think the picture clarity is rather good, at least in the format in which i see them.. have fun :)
