You know you've gotten old when you start to fantasize more about the person you could have been as a younger man than the person you could still aspire to become. That's the telltale sign that you have grown up, that you are an adult with a few gray hairs, that time is limited and too precious to waste writing in your journal.

Yeah, it's pretty scary when your thought processes shift from "man, I can't wait til" to "man, I'm running out of time". Anyways, sorry that I was so busy on your birthday that I couldn't wish you a happy birthday until today, but happy birthday!
