amen on the house issue. I'm having similar issues with my housemates...I feel like I'm the only one to clean.

did all of the dishes on thursday before I left for berkeley this weekend, came back to a mostly full sink and countertop.....there's no winning....

at least I can clean my own room and have a space for myself. it makes things a lot better for me...

Cleaning my own space isn't bad, and while I may be a bit cluttered, it isn't as bad as it could easily be.

I'm so tempted to do the whole "I'm not your mom, clean up after yourself" thing, but part of the reason I'm hesitant to do so is that sometimes I run out of the house for work without doing my dishes, because I trust that someone else will take care of them for me since I've taken care of theirs in the past.

A good deal of the time, that is the case.

Other times, it is not so much.

I can sympathize with this too. I hate doing the dishes, I'd rather do laundry, vacuum, cook, almost anything but cleaning litter boxes or dishes, which is why if I have pets it might be one or two, and they will have one of those auto boxes with disposable trays.

Anyway, I'm annoyed today because Mom asked me to do her laundry like two weeks ago, and I immediately did two loads and told her since I was going out, I just put it in a basket, could she please fold it herself, as it's her laundry, this shouldn't be a big deal.

Today she asked me to do more laundry, when I took it down there the laundry from two weeks ago was STILL in the basket and all over the floor where dad, that mouth breathing cheapo who can't do his laundry somewhere else but god forbid he have to fold a load in the dryer when he brings his shit down here to do, had tossed it.

Then there's Michael. Sunday mom did the weekend dishes, I had a clean sink. Guess who decided to do his once a week cleaning?

HATE.

Why would he just toss it out on the floor instead of putting it in a basket?

Wouldn't he have recognized those were your mother's clothes?

Aw...you don't want to kill your buddy. Just break his WoW playing fingers a bit.

Start charging them for using it as a B&B.

Just don't be surprised when they get all defensive when you confront them with their messes. No one likes being called out on their shit. But it is best to do it and have it out there. Although, if you do decide to go the passive aggressive notes route, please make scans.

Oh, I won't be able to scan, but I will transpose them immediately onto the interwebs. ^_^
